How much does a car detail cost?

It depends on the service and the size of the car. Refresh from $129, Full Detail from $289, Pre-Sale Detail from $399. By size: Refresh: Hatch / sedan $129, SUV $149, 7-seater / 4WD $169, Van $189. Full Detail: Hatch / sedan $289, SUV $339, 7-seater / 4WD $389, Van $439. Pre-Sale Detail: Hatch / sedan $399, SUV $459, 7-seater / 4WD $519, Van $579.

Is the price fixed?

Yes. It's set by the service and the size of the car. No hourly rate and no surprise fees. If your car is far worse than normal, the detailer texts you a photo and a price before starting, and you decide. Nothing gets added at the end.

Question 4

Which size is my car?

Accepted Answer

There are four sizes: Hatch / sedan (Yaris, Corolla, Camry); SUV (RAV4, CX-5, Tucson); 7-seater / 4WD (Kluger, Prado, Carnival); Van (HiAce, Transit, Sprinter). If you're not sure, pick the closest and we'll confirm when we text back.

Do I pay before or after?

After. We send the invoice once the job's done. Pay by bank transfer or card.

Do you offer any discounts?

Accepted Answer

Two. If you're already an XSCAPE lawn or pressure washing client, you get $50 off your first Full Detail when you join Car Club. And if you refer a friend, you both get $20 credit.

When can you come?

Accepted Answer

Weekdays first, Tuesday to Friday. We have a limited number of Saturdays and we don't work Sundays. We can't promise same-day, so if you need the car done by a certain date, tell us when you book.

What's the difference between Refresh, Full Detail and Pre-Sale Detail?

Refresh: The regular clean. Outside washed, inside vacuumed and wiped, glass done. Full Detail: Inside and out, properly. Seats and carpets extracted, sealant on the paint. Pre-Sale Detail: Selling the car? Full Detail, headlights restored, and photos ready for your ad.

How long does it take?

Refresh: 60–75 min. Full Detail: 3–4 hours. Pre-Sale Detail: 4.5–5.5 hours. A Car Club visit is 40–45 min.

What's in a Full Detail?

Everything in Refresh (exterior wash, with the method matched to where the car is parked; wheels cleaned and tyres dressed; full interior vacuum: seats, floor and boot; dash, console and door cards wiped down; glass cleaned inside and out; free Car Health Check: tyres, oil, washer fluid and lights), plus: seats, carpets and mats extracted; door jambs, trims and vents cleaned; spray sealant on the paint.

What does the Pre-Sale Detail add?

What add-ons can I get?

Three, at the same price for every car size: Pet hair removal $49, Odour treatment (ozone) $89, Headlight restore $69. Tick them on the booking form. Headlight restore is already included in the Pre-Sale Detail.

What's the Car Health Check?

Accepted Answer

Free on every visit. We check the things that get forgotten between services, and text you what we find. It comes with every Refresh, Full Detail, Pre-Sale Detail and Car Club visit: tyre pressures set to the number on your door placard; tyre tread and sidewalls looked over for wear, bulges and nails; engine oil level checked on the dipstick; coolant and brake fluid levels checked by eye; windscreen washer topped up; headlights, indicators and wiper blades checked. After every visit you get a text with photos: what's fine, what's low, and anything worth showing a mechanic. If the oil is low, we tell you. Leave the right oil out and we'll top it up. We never guess the grade. It's a check, not a service or a safety inspection. We don't fix, replace or diagnose anything, and it doesn't replace your logbook service.

Will a detail get rid of swirls and scratches?

No. The Full Detail is a clean and protect, not paint correction. The paint comes up clean, but existing swirls and scratches will still be there when we finish.

How does Car Club work?

It starts with a Full Detail, charged at the normal price. After that we come back on a fixed weekday, monthly or fortnightly, for a 40–45 min visit: exterior wash, wheels, vacuum, wipe-down and glass. Visits are grouped by suburb, which is how the price stays low.

How much is Car Club?

Monthly is $79 a visit and fortnightly is $69 a visit for a hatch or sedan. SUVs add $10, 7-seaters and 4WDs add $20, and vans add $30. So a fortnightly SUV is $79 a visit. The first Full Detail is charged at the normal price.

How do I join Car Club?

Through the quote form. Pick Car Club, tell us the car and where it's parked, and we text you to confirm the price and your visit day. There's no online subscription to sign up for or manage.

Question 20

I'm already an XSCAPE lawn or pressure washing client. Do I get anything?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You get $50 off your first Full Detail when you join Car Club. Mention it on the quote form.

Does referring a friend get me anything?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Refer a friend and you both get $20 credit.

Do you come to me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's a mobile service. We come to your home, your workplace, your apartment car park or the street out the front. At work or in a shared car park, check your building's happy with it first.

How do you wash the car without a wash bay?

Accepted Answer

The method depends on where the car is parked. In apartment car parks and on the street we use a rinseless wash. Where there's somewhere for the water to go, we do a traditional wash. Tell us where it's parked when you book.

Do you need my power?

Accepted Answer

A power point within about 15 m helps, because the vacuum and the extractor run on it. If there isn't one, say so on the quote form.

Do I need to be home?

Accepted Answer

Not always. If we can get to the car and it's unlocked, or the keys are left somewhere safe, you don't need to be there. Tell us how we'll access it when you book. We never drive your car.

What suburbs do you cover?

We're based in Fairfield and come to you across greater Sydney.

Is there anything you don't do?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we'd rather you knew before booking: paint correction, cutting or machine polishing; ceramic coating; anything mechanical: servicing, logbooks, brakes, diagnostics. We clean cars. That's the whole offer.

Do you do paint correction or machine polishing?

Accepted Answer

No. No cutting, no machine polishing, no paint correction. If your paint is swirled or scratched, a detail will make it clean. It won't make it new.

Do you do ceramic coating?

Accepted Answer

No. Done properly it needs corrected paint and a controlled space. The spray sealant in the Full Detail is what we offer instead.

Can you service my car or look at a mechanical problem?

Accepted Answer

No. Servicing, logbooks, brakes and diagnostics are a licensed trade in NSW, and we're detailers, not mechanics. We're happy to say so and point you somewhere else. What we do on every visit is the free Car Health Check: we check tyres, oil, washer fluid and lights and text you what we find, so you know when it's time to see one.

Will you move or drive my car?

No. We never drive a customer's car. We detail it where it's parked.
